Her Story
A Voice Dedicated
to God's Purpose Born and raised in Upington in the Northern Cape, Jesmé grew up in a home where music was central to everyday life. With a father who was a DJ, a mother who was a singer, and families on both sides actively involved in church worship, her musical foundation was formed from a young age. She began singing at the age of seven and officially stepped into recording in 2019. Her sound is shaped by gospel, soul, and classic influences, drawing inspiration from artists such as The Clark Sisters, CeCe Winans, Martha Munizzi, and Maurette Brown Clark. Blending elements of 90s and early 2000s gospel with Motown and ballad traditions, her music creates a sound that is both rooted and resonant.
After exploring the secular music space, Jesmé experienced a clear calling back to ministry. What began as a pursuit became a surrender — leading her to fully step into gospel music as her assignment.

"Music is a powerful way to communicate the Word of God, often reaching people in ways that words alone cannot."
